Gua Sha: how to use it on your face
How to use and clean your stainless steel Gua Sha and Ice Gua Sha, simply and gently.

Quick answer: Apply serum or oil, hold the Gua Sha almost flat, and stroke gently outward. Let the Ice Gua Sha temper for 8 to 10 minutes and keep it in motion.
Choose steel for a classic massage and Ice Gua Sha for cooling.
Before you begin
- Use clean hands, a clean face, and a clean tool.
- Avoid wounds, sunburned, or irritated skin.
- Use light pressure. Stop if you experience pain, severe redness, or numbness.
Stainless Steel Gua Sha

Steel or Ice Gua Sha: which should you choose?
Start with the routine you prefer: a solid tool for massage with serum or oil, or a mold that provides a cooling ice routine. The products are used differently.
Massage with serum or oil
Stainless steel Gua Sha
A handheld tool with a rounded edge. It does not need to be frozen or filled with water. If you want a cooling sensation, you can place it in the refrigerator before use.
A cooling ice routine
Ice Gua Sha
A silicone mold with a plastic lid that is filled with water and frozen overnight. Let it thaw for 8 to 10 minutes before opening, and keep the ice in motion on the skin.
Should you buy a single product or the Beauty Sleep Kit?
Choose a single product if you specifically want the steel tool or the ice mold. The Beauty Sleep Kit includes the stainless steel Gua Sha, 30 pieces of mouth tape in Blush, and a pink Terry toiletry bag. The Ice Gua Sha is not included.
As a gift, the kit is best when you know the recipient wants the contents. Mouth tape is not for everyone; read the product and usage information before choosing.
Are Laley’s Gua Sha tools made of jade or rose quartz?
No. Laley’s solid Gua Sha is made of stainless steel. The Ice Gua Sha is a silicone mold used with ice, not a stone tool.
Frequently asked questions
Can Gua Sha lift the face permanently?
No. View it as a massage and a cooling ritual.
Can I use Gua Sha every day?
Adapt the usage to your skin and use light pressure. Take a break if you experience irritation, and stop if it hurts; more or harder massage does not necessarily yield a better result.
