Laley

Mouth tape: how to use it

Quick answer: Mouth tape is not suitable for everyone. Being able to breathe freely through your nose alone does not guarantee safe use.

Quick product selection

Is mouth tape right for you?

Unobstructed nasal breathing alone is no guarantee of safe use. Read the usage information and talk to a doctor before trying it if you are unsure.

No: in cases of nasal congestion, breathing difficulties, or skin irritation.

How to use it

  1. 01
Check your nose Check that you can breathe calmly and freely through your nose before you start.
  2. 02
Clean, dry skin Clean the skin around your mouth and dry it thoroughly.
  3. 03
Apply gently Close your lips naturally. Apply the tape without stretching it.
  4. 04
Remove gently Gently remove it from the edge. Remove immediately if your breathing changes or it feels uncomfortable.

An awake test does not establish that mouth taping is safe during sleep. Talk to a doctor before considering use during sleep. Each piece is for single use.

When not to use mouth tape

Do not use it if your nose is congested, breathing is difficult, or the skin around your mouth is irritated. Mouth tape does not treat snoring or sleep apnea.

A brief note on the documentation

Research is limited. In cases of breathing pauses or severe daytime sleepiness, you should contact a doctor.
