How to style a cap with knitwear, a dress, and a workout set

Three ways to wear a cap
1. With knits: let textures meet
Try a structured cap with a cable-knit sweater or cardigan. Keep the rest calm with a pair of straight-leg trousers. Espresso, cream, and denim are an easy color combination; burgundy can be a subtle contrast to grey or off-white. You do not need to find the exact same shade in all your garments.

2. With a dress: one sporty detail
A simple cap can break up a romantic dress outfit. Let the dress's pattern or cut be the main point, and choose a quieter cap. For a solid-colored dress, the cap can instead provide the color. Add a short cardigan or bolero if you want an extra layer.

Use the cap to finish off an outfit with leggings, a top, and a jacket on top. A dark cap ties together dark shoes and bottoms; a lighter version provides contrast. Choose the fit of the garments based on the activity, and let the styling come after.
Choose material before choosing color
Corduroy describes the fabric's ribbed surface, while cotton and wool describe the fibers. Laley's espresso corduroy and navy caps are made of 100% cotton. Common questions about caps
What does dad cap mean?
It is used for a relaxed cap style with a soft crown. See the product photos from the side and front to assess the height, brim, and how the shape sits on the head.
Is it one size fits all?
One size means one size, and is no guarantee that it fits everyone. The Laley caps in the selection have an adjustable strap with a metal buckle. If you are unsure about the circumference, contact customer service before you order.
Can I machine wash the cap?
Follow the advice for your specific model. The espresso corduroy and navy cotton should be hand-washed cold and reshaped before air drying. The burgundy wool blend should be hand-washed at 30 °C. None of these should be tumble-dried. Do not use one general washing guide for all caps.
What if the color I want is sold out?
